Almost everyone knows that when a person wants to know something on the Internet they turn to search engines like MSN, and Google to find what they are looking for. This makes it very important for web site owners to know how to get their web sites ranked well on search engines, so that the people doing the searching can find their web site.

The first thing you should know is that the job of a search engine is to bring up the web page, that is most relevant to the search.

Search Engine Optimization isn't rocket science!

The job of the web site owner is to make their web site more relevant than other sites. The other job they need to do is make sure the web site gets submitted to search engines. Do those two things and you are getting some attention well needed from the search engines, the reward is free targeted traffic.

I wrote an my first article titled "The plug-in Profit Home Business Review." Now I didn't know too much about writing articles at the time so this happened to be dumb luck. After a few weeks I did a search to find that my article got placed on the first pages of MSN, GOOGLE and Yahoo, when I searched for "plug-in profit site"( E-Commerce business). Surprised to see that the article was ranked higher than hundreds of thousands of possible sites, I looked into the reason for my article's great success.

When you read the article you'll see that the article is extremely related to the plug-in profit home business site. The title after all was called "The Plug-in Profit Home Business Review." The content is all about the program and mentions the name of the program several times. To sum things up this is what made my article step in front of my competitors.

I soon applied my new found knowledge into my own web site. I built my web site around the keyword, "plug-in Profit site. I made the title of my home page "plug-in profit home business site" Now days you will see somewhere on the first pages of the search engines internet5kincome.com when a search for "plug-in profit" is done. You may even find my first article hanging around. This proves that content is still king when it comes to search engines! I will also add the title helps out a great deal too!

In my efforts I made a mistake on my web page, I created a link titled :"Can taking on-line serveys really make you money? Click here to find out".

Notice the misspelled word serveys. While the rest of the world spells surveys with a "U". I spelled this one word with an "E".

I am embarrassed to say it, but that mistake placed my site on page 1 when a person searched for "on-line serveys" this winning mistake brought a surprising number of free traffic.
I am amazed at how many people spell surveys with an "E"! (The mistake has been corrected, but it is something you should know!)

When experimenting with search engine optimization, or SEO for short. Track your web site's performance with a tracking service. I use opentracker.net for my web site's tracking. This service will show you where all your visitors come from.

If a visitor was referred by a search engine, obviously the visitor did a search. The tracker will tell you what keyword the visitor searched for. That keyword is something you should know, so that you can build on it, to bring in even more traffic. You may be surprised at what you find out from the web site tracker. I was surprised that so many people spelled surveys wrong, but I would have never found out if it wasn't for the web site tracker.

Experimenting with SEO is well worth the time. Set your sites on what people are searching for, and build your web site around those keywords, and you might find your web site on the first page.

Understand that not all search engines will rank your web site the same, try different search engines to see where your site shows up. MSN.com is one of my favorite engines to use because this site indexes web pages more often than others. This will help you to see if your experiments work a little faster that using the other top named search engines.

Among many struggles, and obstacles that a new on line business face is getting enough targeted traffic! Now there are thousands of articles about how to get more traffic to a web site. There are twice as many services that offer on line businesses with ways to promote their sites. Before you spend a dime on getting traffic, I would like to tell you about 3 ways that you can get tons of free targeted traffic.

One of the best things about the Internet is "content". No matter what you want to know, or learn, you can learn it from the internet. The way you get information on the web is through content, words information. Without content you have nothing but a blank page. Believe it or not life is all about content. The human mind always thirst for new content of some sort, it's the reason why we gossip, the reason we watch TV, listen to the radio, and the reason we surf on the Internet, read the newspaper, talk on the phone ect...

With that being said I will give you the secrets of getting huge amounts of traffic free. So sit back take notes and, get ready for some awesome tips.

The Great PDF File.

I am a huge fan of PDF files. You know those little short e-books that have great content, that teaches you how to do things? E-books are great for bringing in tons of free targeted traffic. The very people who download a PDF file, do so because of the content. They become the ultimate targeted audience.

For instance, if I write a short E-book on how to brew beer at home. In my book I write about the basics, the ABC's to brewing, I also include tasty, and easy to brew recipes in the PDF file. The person who downloads a copy of my book is in the market to buy products relating to beer brewing.

Now because I am a business owner I insert links to my web site in my beer brewing E-book. On the Web site I sell beer brewing supplies, and ingredients. My goal is to give out valued information, that is downloaded to a prospect's computer, where the person uses the book as a reference, they love the content, they need supplies, and now have a link to my site. This gives my web site a huge amount of targeted traffic automatically.

The PDF file can be a great asset for any web site, and any on-line business. The other great thing about PDF is you never know where it will end up. People may post it in their blogs, on their web site, they may email it to friends who knows where it will posted, but any way you look at it, it's good news for the Internet business owner.

It isn't all that difficult to write a PDF file/ E-book. You can download the latest version of Adobe. Using Adobe, you can compose a PDF file. The PDF file can be as short as 1 page, or it can be hundreds of pages. Just remember to give informative information that your reader will value, include a title page. Obviously you want to include links back to your site. Do yourself a favor, and give consent for your readers to redistribute your E-book, ask that the E- book be in tact and unedited. From there you can upload it to your server, and begin promoting your PDF file. You can even design a fancy cover should you choose to, but it is not required.

The simplest way that I have found to promote a new PDF file is to join forums that complement the E-book. Add a SIG file to be seen at the end of all your post, in that SIG file place a direct link to your E-book include a description of the book. I like to write in "to download this report right click on the link, and select save as." Now the person who reads the E-book has the PDF saved on their computer.

In the forum all you have to do is respond to a post, or 2, or even start up a new post with a few comments, try to provide great insight, and people will download you PDF file guaranteed.( Note: do not spam the forum, or your post will most likely be deleted by the moderator. A forum should not be used as a method as advertising.) Remember, people are always looking for new content, curiosity killed the cat. If you write it, and it looks good, it will be downloaded, and read.

Another easy way to promote an E-book is through e-mail. Send out a funny message, or information that is related to your E-book. Along with the email attach a link to your PDF file in your E-mail SIG file. Use a snappy title something that promotes interest towards people downloading your PDF file. (make sure that the link works okay,) then send out your email to your friends. Ask them to help you out by sending out the email to everyone they know. Send out a good entertaining, or informative e-mail, and that thing could go around the world a few times exposing your PDF file for free, to countless numbers of people. I guarantee that someone will download it. The worse case scenario, if no one downloads your PDF file, It is not a big deal it didn't cost you anything to send out those e-mails!

Another way to promote your PDF file, is write a short article about a topic that compliments your E-book. Many directories include a resource box. I recommend adding a link to your PDF file in that box. Hundreds of people read articles. Remember if these people read your article for the content, chances are they are going to want, to read your E- book for even more advice, and information.

You have just read about a few great ways of getting tons of free targeted traffic. The traffic is yours if you are willing to work for it. The great thing about the Internet is once your work gets published, you will never have to do the work again, and the traffic will keep on flowing to your site over, and over again! If you write it they will read it, that's just the wonder of the Internet!

Note: this is a post that I found on the warrior forum. I like to have content like this any good tips are always welcome.

So how did I take a site from 0-450 visitors per day (on the weekend mind you, much slower) and earning over $5 per day in adsense alone AND on the first page of msn for its main keywords in less then 3 weeks.

Unfortunately I won’t be showing this site as I did in the last post. Due to many reasons. Only a few now about it, and heck you could probably find it anyhow. (I know the investigative powers of the warrior forum)The first step that I take when looking at building a new site is the keyword research, and topic research. There are many ways you can go about doing this.My fav way at the moment is by using The Dowser tool, also I use wordtracker and even a free tool.http://www.123promotion.co.uk/ppc/index.phpOnce there, start running your list ideas through the keyword tool and look for something which has a decent traffic count in overture.

(I choose overture as an example because it is widely recognized).I usually target niches with 80,000 upward searches per month for the main keyword. This way you are bound to be able to drive some good traffic to your site.The recent site I picked had 1,000,000 searches per month.Then I would plug in some of the top sites into SeoElite and find out how much seo the main sites are doing and how hard or easy it is going to be to beat them.

Next thing I do is research affiliate products and adsense ads available for that keyword.The adsense ads you can do either in The Dowser tool. Or you can go to http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/adsense-sandbox/?url=And put in a keyword, it will show you the ads being displayed for that keyword.

Now that we have the basics to one site, presuming you have a nice traffic count. Some profitable affiliate programs and adsense is showing for those keywords. We are ready to rock and roll.Next thing to do is obviously register your domain and set up your hosting. Nothing mentioned here as I do not wish to be disrespectful to Allen.I would then go over to elance and post a project on 30 articles for my topic (I supply the keyword list), usually between 400-500 words of decent quality. You can expect to pay between $3 and $5 per article. Once you find a good copywriter stick with them it will make your life much easier.

Alternatively there are a lot of copywriters on this forum so do a search for them.Personally I don’t use too many articles from databases as I like to have original content. It helps with the search engines and will ensure you have your site up for a long time. And not get hit with a duplicate penalty.Next thing on the agenda would be to set up the actual site. I will usually do this whilst waiting for my articles to arrive.I use Xsite Pro for all my content sites, but sometimes use dreamweaver if I want something a little more powerful. Just depends on your needs and what you have at hand.For site templates I use free ones from www.oswd.org and customize them to what I need.

I usually build my own simple graphics in Photoshop. But I am now looking at some warriors to see if I can get headers done for my sites (ps if you are a graphic designer and are interested in work. PM me)

Once you get your articles back. Start adding them into your site. Each article on an individual page.Be sure to take note of the most important parts of on-page optimization.

Example when you are adding in your articles. I use main keywords for that article in the file name. (Though this is not so important).

Then also develop an individual page title for each article around the article keyword.Include a title inside the page using H1 tags (tip for young players. Use css coding to make your h1 tags look much prettier and not so out there)Also add in any adsense or affiliate adverts you need to, into your content.When adding adsense, the best place to put it is high on your website above "the fold" or above the middle of the page.So a Banner ad up the very top.Then a large rectangle further down he page. Seems to do bestAnd then follow basic common sense with your keyword density. Usually the articles are fine; they contain just the right balance in keyword density.Also when linking your article into the site. Link using the main keywords of the article (providing it makes sense). This will help with building your internal linking popularity.

So by now we should have the basics of our site set up. This is where we would move onto our off-page optimization.Off-Page OptimizationFrom the second step you should know exactly what your opponent is doing in terms of off page optimization, and this is like giving you an insider’s look into their marketing.Write an article on your topic to kick start things. If you are not a writer, then grab a few articles your copywriter wrote for you, and mix them together so they flow, make sense and provide something of interest.Submit the article using your preferred method. I am starting too look at articlemarketer.com as a pretty good source (let me know warriors what you think of it as I am still evaluating them).

Alternatively there is software, article announcer and article submitter pro.Be sure that when you build your article to include your URL in the author’s bio and where you can, turn it into a link with the anchor text being the main keyword of your site.You should also determine what the main keywords for your site will be, that we will target. SEO wise you probably shouldn’t target more then 4 - 6 keywords for your main page. Remember, every page has its own chance of ranking well in the search engines. So I would break my keywords down into 2 main keywords and 2 sub keywords.

Example for dog training would be2 mainDog trainingDog obedience training2 subPuppy training Dog toilet training By submitting articles you will already be starting to build some back links into your site and probably be getting your site crawled already.

The next step would be to start a linking campaign. There are many ways to do this; some people don’t even do it. Some people don’t like it some do. There’s only one small thing I have to say on it. IT WORKS If you wish to start a reciprocal linking strategy.

Then I personally use linkmetro.com (Brad Callen's) for all my linking purposes. There are others around but I have found this to be one of the easiest.

Plus you get a free reciprocal directory script, which is a bonus if you don’t have one or have never done it before.Depending on how big your niche is, you can also purchase advertising space (aka text links) from sites to help.Some sites for that are.textlinkbrokers.comtext-link-ads.comI have used both before and both seem to offer a pretty good service. Super-TipWhen buying links, be sure to run the site that you decide to go with, through seoelite or some other back link analysis tool. I have found some sites out there that are cheating the system in a big way. You would probably want to go with the site that has the most links from individual IP's and has a more solid foundation.If you are into tracking your sites rankings. Then Digitalpoint.com also offers a free serp tracker. However I use Web Position Gold 3 for the purpose of finding where I rank.And I think that about wraps up how I start and launch my sites.I repeat the steps in off-page optimization as many times I need to get the rankings I desire.

Remember a number 1 position is not always best. You can get a page 1 result for a keyword, and then move onto the next keyword. This way you are diversifying your traffic, and not wasting un needed energy for the ego of being number 1.Your business will thrive for it. Worry about the number 1 position only if it is needed for your purpose.I hope this has helped some.Please remember, you don’t need to run out and buy the software I mention in here. It is stuff I have accumulated over the last 2 years that greatly help my productivity. There are a few pieces I would consider a must. (SeoElite, Some form of website building software there are free ones,)But if you are on a budget, don’t rush out, start of small and re-invest your profits later.

Using the exact above system is how I took just 1 of my sites to over 400 visits per day (all search engine) and over $5 per day just in adsense and in only 3 weeks. I am just about to go and optimize that site for maximum profits.

So I will post the new results as I get them.

What about a Successful Internet Entrepreneur without Training?For the answer...read on!Here's a productive post for you. I posted the first paragraph as a response to a thread, and I liked it so much I thought I would share it with everyone.

For those who think they can just dive right in and make their riches online in a short amount of time with no real experience to speak of: When I was a firefighter, I didn't just get into the first hook-line I could find and climb the highest mountain in California to put out forest fires. NO... I had to go through the physical fitness phase, and then the written tests and then the field testing...Once I passed with flying colors, ALL 3 Phases, then and only then was I qualified to be a forestry fire-fighter. It was only then, that I was able to take my rightful place in the hook-line and do what I knew and others knew I could do best!

Business is the same.. one step, one phase, one day at a time. You can't just come online one day and jump right in and be a successful Internet Entrepreneur.. You will have trial and errors.To really be successful, you will have to go through different phases of learning the Internet and then you'll have tests, and field testing. If you fail these tests, you have to keep trying until you finally get it right... then and only then are you on the path to success.

Truth be told, most blogs aren't really optimized for marketing effectiveness. Even more so, some blogs are absolute marketing machines, but they at the same time fail to fully capitalize on that fact by not being really optimized marketing-wise.Blogs may be Web 2.0, but bloggers should not ignore some of the good old internet direct marketing tactics that have been working for marketers online almost for a decade or more.

Here are the absolute 101 basics you really shouldn't ignore

...1. Don't Forget E-mail DeliveryBloggers are often abandoning or completely ignoring e-mail as a tool to deliver their content to their readers. As an RSS evangelist I certainly believe in using RSS to get your content to the world, but only as a supplement to e-mail delivery.While RSS provides us with many unique benefits, it is yet to reach mainstream adoption. Until it does, marketers and publishers should not even consider abandoning e-mail delivery, or risk ignoring most of their potential readership.If you're still wondering why you need e-mail, consider the potential you might be wasting without it. Someone visits your blog, likes the content and would like to be notified as new content of interest becomes available, and he does not know what RSS is or even care. If you fail to capture his e-mail address and consent at that exact moment, he might never again return to your site, either because he forgets about it or because dozens of other sites capture his interest even before the next day.

2. E-zine Publishing is Still a MustPublishing a blog is not a replacement for an e-zine. Top ContentIf you update your blog frequently, your less recent top content keeps being pushed down and down, where most of your blog readers will never bother to look for it.Overcome this frequent blog problem by creating a list of your top posts, clearly displayed and available from each of your pages. Depending on the topic you cover, you might want to place these headlines as close to the top of your blog as possible, in order to quickly entice your new visitors to start reading the best of what you have to offer and then use this content to convert them to loyal readers and subscribers.

6. The HeadlineThe site or blog headline will tell your visitors what to expect from reading your blog and will answer their key question: "What's in it for me?" Make sure that your blog headlines gives this reason and the story inviting enough for your readers to keep reading.

7. Lead Your Visitors to Your MDAMDA is the Most Desired Action you want your visitors to take on your site, ranging from a subscription to your e-zine to requesting more information about your services or ordering your product / getting more information about it.Your blog will be of great help in this area, but only if you actually lead your visitors to this action. Putting this information in your menu simply is not enough. A few months ago I decided to jump into an online marketing business. I thought that it couldn't be all that difficult to make money online. The genius in me thought that I would be able to figure this marketing thing out. After all it wasn't exactly rocket science.

I've spent hours promoting my web site. I began dropping my links, and submitted my advertisements, here and there, trying to sell products to earn a commission. As the days turned to months, I was quickly getting little, or nothing for my efforts. Frustrated, and disgusted with the results that I was having, I was ready to throw in the towel.

The methods that I used to promote my business did not produce the results that I wanted to see. But just the same I kept right on doing those same things over, and over again. In order to produce the results that I desired, I had to change. Of course, to change, I had to learn a different way of doing things. That also meant that I had to be open to learning new ideas.
So for me it was right back to school learning the basics. The only problem was, I never really started there to begin with.

The most basic ideas can have a profound affect on your success. Here’s a rule that I now live by. It is a rule that is very basic, but has been very helpful with keeping me on track, and it has given me something to always shoot for.

I have discovered the importance of writing down my goals, and yes it has to be written down. If you do not write them down it might get forgotten, or lost, that translates into wasted time. A written goal on the other hand can pave the road to success, and here is how. I write down a short-term goal like this one. I want to make $100 dollars this month. I then write underneath what I need to do to achieve that goal. In this case I would have to sell X amount of products, or services to make that $100. Then I jot down the individual steps that I need to take to sell that quantity of products, or services.

Example: My Goal is to make $100 dollars this month.
I need to sell 15 of this product.
Step 1: Advertise by pay per click!
Step 2: Learn how to use pay per click!
Step 3: Tell my prospects about my product. Ect…

By doing this very simple exercise you create a road map, a checklist to follow. Now we have a direct path that will lead us to accomplishing the goal that we set out for ourselves. The concept is very basic, and it works every time. As you walk through each step you come one step closer to achieving that goal. By achieving that goal you have just witnessed success.

There are more things that will need to happen before you see absolute success, but writing down your goals it is a good place to start. You may want to brush up on your online marketing skills. I found a single web site that has made it much easier for me to sell products on-line. Thanks to my new resource I am getting taught the A,B,C’s to online marketing. You see the other things that need to happen for anyone to see success is being taught the fundamentals. The fundamentals are the foundation of which everything is built on.

Not too long ago I was on the fast track to failure because of the way my mind was programmed. I had FEAR, "The Fear Of Money". I was so afraid of losing money, the fear was stopping me from making money. This same fear is guilty, for stopping countless people, from even trying to make their vision become a reality.

I know that in this business I am not alone when it comes to fear. So if you have home business, and you experience this fear you will have to reprogram the way you think. This fear will most certainly hold you back from making your piece of the Internet’s wealth.

Instead of fearing losing money promoting your business, and products. "Concentrate more on the making money part"! The thought of making money sounds, and feels better much than the thought of losing money.

Think what steps do I need to take to sell this product, or service. How can I tell everyone about my web site. I suggest doing a little research there are many ways to attract people to a web sit. Goals setting!

Can you really have better results if you set goals?

Yes you can. I have been setting goals per week, and per month! It is a simple easy concept and it will keep you on track! Here is one of my goals. Its not a big one

Goal:I am going to make 100 dollars more a month. With Success University.

Next I write down how will I get 100 bucks more?

Answer: I need to get 5 people enrolled for their courses.

Steps 1: Write articles post on web site. & through article directories, and blog.
Step 2: Start campaign pay per click service using one of these services.
Step 3: Follow up with previous prospects, via phone, and emails.
Step 4: Post link to Success University capture page on all forums, and emails.

Now by doing this for the month I have created a road map on how I plan to get to my
goal of earning an extra $100 dollars a month.

Believe it or not by doing this you will find that it keeps you on track. Guess what? This is my goal for this month and now I am committed to making these things happen? Since this is my blog I will let you know if I have made my goals! We will see what happens January 10th 2006

It Only Takes One Idea To Change Your Life Forever!

The fear of failure holds people back many times over. Sadly it sometimes even prevents people from even trying at all.

Have you ever heard of a man by the name of Jim Britt? I saw one his seminars on Success University. This man is a great speaker.

He spoke in a seminar called "Vision Becomes Reality". One of the things he talked about was feelings attract everything around you. If you want to know how a person is feeling look around them see how they live.

I think that is true for the most part.

He said that if you keep on doing the same things over again you keep getting the same results. In order for something different to happen, you have to change. To change means you must learn something new to do. To do learn something new you must be open to it.

let go of your fears and honor your vision!

That's why I am a part of Success University. I need to learn something new. I am open to be learning every thing I can.

Everyday I go to work at I job that I do not like. I go to work because I have to, not because I want to! This is why I am here.

With that kind of volume of people, the opportunity is grand, and the possibility to become wealthy is tantalizing for millions of people around the world.

Not all will prosper, but everyday there are people making large amounts of money from the Internet. Some will not make a dime, they may even catch the dreaded fever as the people of the mid 1800's did.

The Best advice I can give you if you want to make money through affiliate programs. Don't trick people, don't attack them with bad advertisement tactics. You want to attract people that's why it pay per clicks are great, and they are the easiest ways to get traffic. Simply state what the purpose of your product is. If people want to see more they will click on your site. (note if they aren't clicking the only thing you need to do is fine tune it.)

I love this site so much I will pass a long to whoever is interested. http://www.googspy.com is a great way to see who your competitors are, and what keywords your competitors are biding on. I take those words, and run over to these sites and give them my business. They send me more traffic than google for less money.

We all know that headlines sells newspapers. It also can help On-line marketers. Headlines are the fist thing a person sees when they are introduced to a new web site.

I would like to point out I have this great door way page that gets people wanting to know more about Success Universtiy. Thats on page 1 it has been designed for capturing names and emails. That take my new prospect to Page 2 that never converts prospects into sales. Why? People buy emotionally.

I have proved that anyone can make money on the internet without having to spend a fortune. I have recently been introduced to the Plug in Profit Site. I bought the package, hooked, line, and sinker. I still can not believe that I bought this package it is totally out of character for me. I hate to spend money. I figured that it takes money to make money right? So why not!

*What it did cost me was 60 bucks to get my website up and running.
What I did not realize was that the program (The 30 day course) wanted me to shell out big bucks to promote my “money making website”.

Maybe if I would have spent the thousand dollars as suggested, I may have gotten my first customer allot sooner. I may even be making one thousand dollars a week by now … But I’m cheap I did not shell out the big bucks. What I did do was simple and pretty cheap, and pretty darn effective. I did the following 5 things.

1. I have written articles and submitted them.
2. I have submitted my URL to the search engines for free.
3. I have dropped a few lines in blogs, and forums with a link to my website
4. I have a few Google Adword ads posted. ( I used low cost keywords)
5. The easiest thing I do is add a SIG file to all my emails.( do it, it’s free!)

Most marketers do not use a SIG file. Why? I do not know, not my problem. But I use my SIG file in all of my emails. You know those annoying forward emails, that your friends and family, send to you on a daily bases. I used to hate those things, but now I love them. Why? because I forward them to everyone in my address book, and yup, you guessed it! I use My Signature file. You would be surprised on how far those crazy emails can go. They are like the Energizer bunny they keep going and going; with my SIG file . At the end of all of my emails you will see my SIG file.

Here are a few cool ways to bring in the traffic. You may want to Start a blog. Install www.gabbr.com/blog/But I would change the file name to a keyword you want to target. Put a link to the blog on your main page. Submit your blog to every blog directory you can find. Submit your RSS feed to every RSS directory you can find.Post to your blog everyday.

Traffic building is easy and stay away from SEO's. If you must go and check out this link This is free to use. It is good to pay attention to key words an meta tags but, there are other ways to bring on traffic besides SEO's. Ensure that you have submitted your site to URL finders, check out the quality of your site and ensure that it meets the standards to get submitted to sites like google and yahoo etc. Does you site have a title and a description?Another way to develop traffic is through forums, obviously through blogs. Another thing to focus on, you should have read some articles about your own domain. It is becoming an attractive option to work from home. Now days everyone needs a few extra dollars so why not make money on the Internet? There are thousand of programs out there on the web that promise you the world, just pay the fee and watch the magic money pile up in your bank account. I know that most of us realize that those programs do not work. If you are going to make a buck you have to earn it. There're thousands of opportunities today so the answer is, yes you can make money on the web. Just how do you choose with so many options out there? The first thing to ask is what is right for me?

I have chosen to take the affiliate rout. I earn commissions on any products and services that I sell. The work isn't simple you have to put time effort, and brainpower into it. The great thing about the Internet is there are a lot of people making a full time income off the Internet. How do they do it? That is the question worth looking into. If they can do it, can you? The answer is yes if that, is what you want.

The success rate for the average home business is a 2 percent. That means that 98% of all home businesses fail. Now I do not write this figure down to discourage anyone. I write it down simply to give you an idea of what you are up against. If you are going to make it in this business, you will have to learn. To make money selling things, from insurance to green tea, is a challenge. It requires a person to follow a system. That system has to work. I have learnt that if you walk in the footsteps of successful people you, yourself will be successful.

I would like to talk about mistakes, one has to learn from mistakes or they can not move forward. You see most people who are new to the marketing attack their prospects. HEY THIS IS THE BEST PRODUCT SINCE SLICED BREAD BUY IT NOW$$$$%%%%%WOW!!!!

Yuck, Taking that approach really gets you no where quickly. Do not fall into doing that, people hate that, and they will hit that little x in the top right corner of their browser never to return to your web site again.

Try this approach; attract customers. Why do people want to go to your web site to begin with? Because you have a product or a service that they have been looking for, and you have class. You do not shout or try to trick your customer into buying your product. Give them, good information about the product. Show them what other people say about your product. If you would like to buy my product you can, buy it here, because I value you as my customer, and I will offer you support after you have bought the product. Why would I do this? You are my customer.

Now can you see the difference who would you want to do business with the shark, or the gentleman?

The first thing to consider when joining an affiliate program is what should I promote? There are tens of thousands of products and services to promote online. Lets look at what people are buying on the Internet. The number one product that people buy is solutions. For instance I buy a car, because I live 35 miles away from work. Obviously if I walked it would take me forever to get to work. So I buy the solution to the problem a car, or some type of motor vehicle. When you choose a product or service choose one that is a valued solution to a problem. Because that is what people are buying. When promoting the product it is important to illustrate to your prospects the problem, and show them how your product is the solution.

People will only buy a product or service when it is justified. There are 10 things that justify a sale.
1.) Replacement
2.) Entertainment
3.) Home or office improvement
4.) Relaxation
5.) Education
6.) Good health
7.) Stress Relief
8.) Pleasure
9.) Quality of life
10.) Emotional satisfaction

There are 3 reasons why a person will not buy from you!
1.) Not interested (this product is not for me.)
2.) Simply can not afford it. (You know I like it, but it is a bit expensive for me.)
3.) Or it's just not justified. (I don't need it right now.)

The reason why I mentioned this is because; these are all things that you should consider when deciding what products or services to promote.

Most people will say that if you are promoting products, and services for other people, you should buy the products for yourself. I will agree that if you experience the products first hand, you might find it easier to sell the items, than if you hadn't. But if you did not buy the product or service, ask yourself why? Was it too expensive? Or maybe you weren't all that interested in buying that particular product. If you did not want to make the purchase, Why will your prospects want to buy?

I have chosen to promote education. The statistics speak for themselves, 98% of all home businesses fail. (That number is not pretty but it is a fact.) That is also the problem that I have chosen to focus on. My solution to this problem is a getting online marketing education. I promote Success University. I have found their education program to be second to none. It includes personal development courses, and seminars, it has Internet marketing courses, it even gives you ideas to create and sell your own products. It gives you the tools from the foundation, up to be successful at building a home business.

I really enjoy the personal developing courses, and seminars that the online University provides. This is important step into achieving success everything has to start from within your own heart.

I watched a seminar the other day, and it has changed my whole outlook on just about everything. I want to share this with you.

Jim Britt the presenter said, two guys were having this, conversation one said on the first day God made light he continued on ...,and then God made fruit. The other guy replied, he made fruit? What does fruit have to with anything? The man replied, "you see, inside the fruit there is a seed, and if you plant it, and nourish it, it will grow. If you don't, it won't. Jim asked the audience So I ask you this question what if dreams were like the seed of the fruit? If you planted it, and nourished it; what would grow? And if you don't; it won't.
